Fencing

We need to maintain over 25 miles of fence.  If fencing is on your list of priorities, you are welcome to come along  to fix it or build it anew! You can learn or brush up on skills with pole, jack, game, barbed wire, and more. Fences serve an important purpose on the landscape and there is always one more section to improve.

Irrigation

The importance of good water management on the Idaho range cannot be overstated. With 3 pivots to service and surface water to manage, we endeavor to keep things green and growing.  We share a limited resource with many other users. Keeping water usage efficient is our main goal. Green is good.

Range Management

The preservation, conservation, and management of rangelands from the landowner’s perspective is a topic you will hear about often. We collaborate with land trusts and government agencies to ensure that the rangeland continues to be productive for all users. Knowing the standards and applicable practices that impact the range gives you a depth of understanding that will prove useful in your career. Interacting with land agencies on real issues in real time is valuable to anyone looking  to work on the range.
